October is coming and that means it’s time to break out the lederhosen and get ready for some sauerkraut, bratwurst, schnitzel, and, of course, beer! Oktoberfest is back and there are tons of great places to celebrate in Boston. While the traditional Oktoberfest is celebrated between Sept. 19 to Oct. 4! There will be plenty of brats and beer for everyone all throughout October.
Harpoon Oktoberfest, located at Harpoon Brewery at 306 Northern Ave, is celebrating Oct. 2-3 with German food, Oompah bands, chicken dancing, and a German chocolate cake-eating contest.
South Shore Oktoberfest in Quincy, MA, will be having their Okotberfest celebration on October 16. This is the seventh year of the South Shore Oktoberfest and will include beer, German food, bar games, and traditional German karaoke.
Oktoberfest in Harvard Square may just headline all the Oktoberfests in Boston. The 37th Harvard Square Oktoberfest is taking place this year on October 11, and will again feature a giant parade, Sam Adams Beer Garden, over 50 international food vendors, live entertainment, and sidewalk vendors with lots of family friendly activities.
