Walking Weather in Boston

Posted On: 04/29/2015

All this warm weather can mean only one thing – summer is almost upon us! As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, we know many of you are itching to get outside for some much needed Vitamin D. The only question left is, what to do?

For those of you cooped up in a house, office or classroom all day, the Boston Harborwalk may be the perfect solution to your indoor woes. The walkway traces over 46 miles of beautiful Massachusetts coastline and is perfect for walking, jogging, biking and rollerblading. Drink in cruise ships, gardens, architecture and more as you stroll through the historic Boston area. The distance ensures there’s always a new section to check out, and it’s connection to other paths (such as the 2.5 mile Freedom Trail through the downtown area) mean your exploration options are endless.

If your feet are beggin for a break, don’t worry! Harborwalk passes by many notable area attractions, including:

  • New England Aquarium
  • Deer Island
  • Institute of Contemporary Art
  • Bank of America Pavilion
  • Constitution Beach
  • & Many More!

Segway and bike tours are available for portions of the trail, and the views practically beg you to stop and snap a few pictures. Cap off your experience with a well-deserved meal at your favorite Boston restaurant (and don’t feel guilty about ordering dessert after all that walking). But don't take our word for it... get out there and see for yourself!
